Waikiki Beach Boys was painted from a black and white photograph taken in the early 1920’s near Moana Surf Rider Hotel. It shows a handful of boys with long, solid wood surfboards, standing behind several hand-carved wooden canoes and evokes a sense of a simpler, more intentional time in Hawaiian history.

This half-sheet original watercolor was painted on Strathmore acid-free, 100% cotton watercolor paper. The hand-painted artwork finished framed size of approximately 41.5 inches wide by 37.5 inches tall. All framed artwork is professionally framed and matted using acid-free materials and protected with UV-protective glass.
