Mahalo for Visiting
This work was created to share the Spirit of Aloha through large-format, fine art prints. Each piece tells a story reflective of a simpler, more romantic era in Hawaiian History.
About the Artist:
Meet Matt Coffman
My name is Matt Coffman, and I’m a husband, father of five, and multidisciplinary artist who finds deep joy in capturing the beauty of Hawaii through both the structured elegance of hand-drawn digital work and the expressive freedom of watercolor.
My digital pieces, reminiscent of mid-century modern fine art posters, are designed to share the Spirit of Aloha and evoke the warmth and romance of a simpler time in Hawaiian history. Each piece tells a story — drawing from a bygone era through thoughtful color harmony, hand-drawn typography, and timeless design techniques that honor Hawaii’s rich visual and cultural legacy.
After a 15-year career behind the computer, my family and I stepped away from the fast pace of city life to pursue a more intentional way of living in the islands. That shift awakened a deeper appreciation for God’s creation and a renewed connection to the world around me — one that now flows through my brush in spontaneous, vibrant watercolor.
Whether working digitally or traditionally, I pour intention and craftsmanship into every piece. These works are created to bring lasting meaning to your space, spark conversation, and serve as a reminder of the beauty found in this incredible place, we’re blessed to call home.
