This piece captures a tangle of old fishing ropes and buoys found near Chinaman’s Hat on the North Shore of Oahu, discovered while camping along the coast. Worn by years of sun and saltwater, the ropes had taken on extraordinary hues—subtle greens, warm rusts, sea-washed blues. While many walked past without noticing, I was struck by their accidental artistry. “All Tied Up” invites the viewer to pause and see the unexpected beauty in the everyday, in what’s weathered, tangled, and quietly fading.
